ぼくのわたしのこわれないコンパス MY INVINCIBLE COMPASS
A FIRST-OF-A-KIND DOCUMENTARY, BOOK, AND VIDEO GAME
At the beginning of his children’s book, Coraline, author Neil Gaiman pens an epigraph paraphrasing from writer G.K. Chesterton. The epigraph states…
“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
True and make-believe stories often shape and impact us in deep and profound ways. We all need stories in our life that tell us that our life matters, that we are capable of facing and defeating the dragons (traumatic life experiences) in our life, and that there is indeed more to our story that is still to come. I shaped the film and the book the way I did for these reasons and the video game we are working on will follow the same path forward.

NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND
Our vision is to reach, educate, and inspire others unaware of the children around them who go in and out of the alternative care system. We know if we reach enough caring people some of them will decide to take action. All who take action play a part in helping more children to successfully step into the next chapter of their story.
You can help bring further awareness to others on how to better support children placed in the alternative care system by sharing the documentary and book with someone. The film is available to stream for FREE. The book was created in such a way to inspire conversations in a small or large group setting, so please consider bringing some of your friends together and go through the book and question sections with them.
